With less than 250 employees, everyone works closely with the Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive. The HR service provides a full range of HR and Organisational Development functions to the council's employees and a range of external clients.About the RoleAs the Assistant Project Manager, you will work directly with a range of departments across the Borough Council, developing HR solutions in respect of the business needs of the departments, aligned to the strategic objectives of the Borough Council. You will have the opportunity to work with directors and other senior managers in service departments honing your skills to support the wider transformational agenda.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop HR solutions in respect of the business needs of the departmentsWork with services to help them diagnose issues and enable them to focus on outcomesBrokering the necessary support to achieve outcomesHelp services to navigate complex employee relations matters dealing personally with these where requiredEnsure that HR solutions are aligned to the strategic objectives of the Borough CouncilRequirementsRelevant HR qualification and be a member of the CIPDCredibility as an HR professional, with experience of working at a Managerial HR level, with the ability to quickly attain the trust and confidence of others and work effectively as a team playerExtensive experience and knowledge of HR practice and employment law and have a track record of having worked successfully with trade unionsHow to ApplyIf you are interested in this Assistant Project Manager role and meet the above requirements, please apply with your updated CV and a cover letter
