Assistant Head Teacher

Position: Assistant Headteacher / Senior Leadership Team Member

Location: Nottingham City

Hours - Full time

Start Date: Asap until Feb 2025

We are recruiting on behalf of a Nottingham City Academy that are seeking an outstanding individual to join our school's leadership team as an Assistant Headteacher / Senior Leadership Team (SLT) Member. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future direction of the school and making a real difference in the lives of our students.

Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with the Headteacher and other SLT members to drive school improvement and achieve strategic objectives.
• Lead and manage specific areas of school development, such as curriculum, assessment, pastoral care, or staff development.
• Support the professional development of staff through coaching, mentoring, and training initiatives.
• Play a key role in promoting a positive school culture and high expectations for all students and staff.
• Contribute to the effective management of resources, including budget planning and allocation.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Significant experience in a leadership role within a school setting.
• Strong understanding of current educational policies, practices, and trends.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve excellence.
• Commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of students.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience leading whole-school initiatives or projects.
• Knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies.
• Experience managing staff performance and development.
• Understanding of data analysis and its application to school improvement.
