We are recruiting an Assistant Fund Accountant for the Fund Reporting team. The successful individual will assist in the day to day operations of the Montagu fund structures, while at the same time studying towards a professional accountancy qualification.
Role responsibilities:
Responsibility for cash management and banking administration; including payments, call back procedures, cashflow monitoring and preparation of bank reconciliations
Support monthly accounting for the various fund entities
Assist in the completion of routine audit and investor queries
Maintain the investment management contact database and investor portal
Participate in the onboarding of new investors
Assist in implementing financial procedures, controls and system improvements to enhance efficiencies
Various ad hoc projects to help the team achieve and maintain best practice procedures
The successful candidate should have:
Recent accountancy degree graduate or ATT graduate studying towards ACCA, with at least 1 years’ experience in an all-round Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeping role
Well versed with CRM
Basic accounting/ fund accounting knowledge
Proficient excel skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Highly organised and attentive to detail
Enthusiastic and motivated team player
Able to work to tight deadlines and flexible to meet shifting workload
Able to develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders
