Assistant Financial Controller - Maldron Hotel Brighton (New Opening)We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join our opening Finance team here at the new Maldron Hotel Brighton, with 225 bedrooms and 5 meeting rooms as an Assistant Financial Controller and support the Cluster Financial Controller to deliver an efficient finance operation.Objective of the RoleReporting to & supporting the Cluster Financial Controller, the Assistant Financial Controller will lead the day-to-day operations of the finance department, work with HODs to deliver key financial metrics and lead adhoc projects.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesRun the day-to-day finance operation of the hotel.Be the first point of contact for Finance related queries in the hotel.Assist the Financial Controller with weekly forecasting, ensuring accurate and timely reports are submitted.Support the FC with month end procedures ( Accruals, Prepayments, Balance Sheet reconciliation...)Be willing to take on Ad Hoc projects as required by the FC and Hotel needs.Act as a business partner to internal stakeholders ( Senior management, HODs)Requirements:2 years proven experience in a similar role (preferably in hotel industry)Self-motivated and driven individual with a positive can-do attitude.Able to work under pressure.Proficient in Excel.Strong analytical and leadership skills.Knowledge of Procure Wizard and Sage preferable but not a requirement.Accounting qualification is advantageous but not essential.This role is fully onsite, no working from home.If you have what it takes to be our next Assistant Financial Controller, we will reward you with:A highly competitive salaryCompany pension schemeMarket leading leadership development programsFlexible work rotaThe opportunity to be a part of a growing business at an exciting chapter in Dalata's historyUnique development & promotion opportunities with a growing brandApprenticeship OpportunitiesTeam eventsPaid day off on your birthdayBe the guest vouchersSave As You Earn - share purchasing schemeDiscounted stays at our stunning hotels across the UK & Ireland and now Germany!Opportunity to join the Cycle to Work SchemeMental & physical wellbeing supportA sense of belongingAbout our culture:Dalata Hotel Group - Ireland's largest hotel group has a number of exciting positions on the horizon.
