Assistant Financial AccountantSalary: Up to £40,000 (DOE) + Benefits - Hybrid Working, Annual Bonus, Pension, On-Site ParkingLocation: Deeside AreaDuration: Permanent (35.5 hours per week)Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit an Assistant Financial Accountant for a highly ambitious and market leading Manufacturing business based in the Deeside Area. The business has gone through significant growth in the last 10 years, with turnover increasing from £2m to £26m, with targets of achieving £60m Turnover by 2026. Due to this sustained organic growth an exciting opportunity has arisen within their busy finance department.Reporting into the Finance Manager, this Assistant Financial Accountant position will play a key role in the day to day running of the business to ensure company financials are maintained to the highest quality. The role will be ever evolving and there is scope to move into different areas of finance as the business establishes subsidiaries in the US and Europe.Responsibilities of the Assistant Financial Accountant will include:Manage the Purchase and Sales LedgerEnsure timely Purchase Invoice processing and query resolutionTake ownership of the payment run and approval processSupport intercompany process including invoicing and balance sheetInvolved in Month End/Year End closeIdentify and encourage process improvements to increase efficiency and improve controlsOther Ad-hoc/project work as requiredThe ideal Assistant Financial Accountant will have:Working towards a recognised qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), AAT Qualified or QBEExcellent communication skills and comfortable working with all areas of the businessEffective time management with experience of working in a fast-paced/changing environmentThe ability to pick up new systems quickly (use of SAP is preferred but not essential)A willingness to learn and develop as the role evolvesStrong Excel skillsBenefits of the Assistant Financial Accountant will include:Hybrid working23 Days holiday, increasing by 1 per year after 2 years' service to a maximum of 27 days (plus bank holidays) with the option to purchase 5 moreAnnual discretionary bonus6% company pension contributionsEmployee assistance programmeFree onsite parkingIf you consider yourself to be a proactive rather than reactive individual, committed, career driven professional who can demonstrate the above experience and who would welcome the stimulus of this finance post then we would be pleased to hear from you.If you believe you have the necessary skills, ambition, and experience for this Assistant Financial Accountant role, please apply now, or contact Harry Mellor at Sellick Partnership.
