The Applebridge Family is a group of construction companies who offer a wide range of construction disciplines within the residential, commercial, and multi-utility sectors. They deliver an extensive range of capabilities and capacities in the areas of ground investigation, earthworks, plant hire, groundworks, civil engineering, multi-utilities, retaining wall solutions, building services, and road surfacing.

Having enjoyed sustained growth since their incorporation, they now have a collective annual turnover of more than £100 million and employ over 400 staff. Having recently been awarded ?Business of the Year' at this years' Business IQ Awards and ?Commitment to Employee and Training Development' at Generation4change, now is a great opportunity to join the Applebridge Family and become part of their journey to become market leaders.

As part of this continued expansion and having recently achieved placements on framework agreements for Northumbrian Water, Yorkshire Water and YORcivil3 they are looking for an Assistant Estimator to support senior members of the team in the production of accurate and efficient estimates. This will include dealing with Tender enquiries from clients, merchants, and subcontractors; updating databases and ensuring information is up-to-date and accurate; using Estimator software to assist with the production of cost plans from Take Off's and drawings.

Applicants should understand the first principles of estimating, i.e., labour, plant, and materials, and are likely to have had some exposure to working in the construction industry. This will ideally be supported by an ONC / HNC in a Construction related discipline. Working in a fast-paced commercial environment, and often to tight deadlines requires applicants to possess a good work ethic, excellent communication skills and great attention to detail. Travelling to site may be required as part of this role so you need to have a full driving license and access to transport.

A collaborative mindset is at the heart of Applebridge's success; they pride themselves on strong relationships they have built with both clients and staff. As a group of highly motivated professionals, they aim to be the best at what they do, and it is essential that candidates are similarly inclined ? in return, they can offer an exciting opportunity to work, grow and thrive in an environment that will challenge, support, and reward you for your dedication.
