Job Title - Assistant Estimator
Based - West Lancashire
Projects - Highways, Tunnelling, Civil Engineering, Roads, Hard Landscaping, Water, Foot and Cycle paths.
The client
An established and Lancashire based civil engineering and utilities contractor. A business with a strong track record within the delivery of major infrastructure projects up to the value of £20 million. They are regarded as true specialist within the civil engineering sector.
The role
A trainee or assistant estimator role. You will be required to assist the Pre-Construction and Estimating team in the preparation and submission of accurate and high-quality tender bids relating to general civil engineering projects.
The candidate
Must have experience of civils project estimating, working on tender processes and documentations.
All applicants must be comfortable in meetings with clients and subcontractors. You will be tasked with compiling resulting quotes for analysis and support in the production of quantity take-offs
Utilising software, printing & scanning of drawings and documents.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be studying for their HNC in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying. A good knowledge of the civil engineering industry would be the perfect benchmark, but its not mandatory.
