Vertu Motors, NationalVertu Motors plc is the third largest automotive retailer in the UK, with a network of over 190 sales outlets across the UK. Our dealerships operate predominantly under the Bristol Street Motors, Vertu Motors and Macklin Motors brand names.We have a high-profile and rarely available role to join our growing team as an Assistant Divisional Finance Director for our SEAT & SKODA division. Reporting directly into the Divisional Finance Director this role represents a significant opportunity for a talented individual to demonstrate their potential and have fantastic future progression opportunities.We can offer you earning potential of up to £65,000 plus a company car and a range of other benefits.The role is broken down as follows:Support the Division in the delivery of its strategic objectives and financial plan.Regular financial reporting and comparative analysis to identify performance improvement opportunities.Specific responsibility for certain of the dealership finance functions within the division.Support the delivery of the Group and Finance Vision.Maintenance of financial control.Dealership Specific Support:To help manage the dealership finance function effectively and efficiently and to support the compilation of management accounts in accordance with Group Policies and Procedures.To support the dealership General Managers to maximise operational and financial performance, including the completion of dealership operations reviews.Training and support new accountants through the completion of the Group induction process.Engagement in structuring effective succession planning throughout the Division.Change management to drive productivity improvements within the dealership finance function in line with Company best practice.Implement financial controls in line with Company Policy & Governance.Functions:Divisional financial reporting and working capital control.Flexibility of working location for reasonable periods of time.Support dealerships as and when requested.Support Central Services with ad-hoc projects either in Vertu House or in dealerships.Collate and communicate best practice ideas to Central Services.Be a role model in the commitment to the Groups Values.This is a key role in our senior finance team which plays a critical part in the success of the Group, you will therefore need to demonstrate your ability to govern the financial function remotely and to lead a team to deliver consistent and accurate accounts. Your excellent numerical and analytical abilities are essential capabilities for this position, and you will also need the ability to influence and communicate effectively with all levels of management.This is a UK wide role, and we are therefore flexible in relation to the location of the successful candidate.If your application is successful, we will need to complete employment checks prior to you starting with us. Depending on the role, these can include us verifying your recent employment, address and credit history.
