We are seeking an Assistant Director Strategy & Architecture to drive innovation and efficiency in our ICT provision.Derbyshire County Council is embarking on an exciting journey towards the future of ICT services, and we are looking for a strategically minded, architecture specialist to lead the change. In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic guidance to ensure our ICT provision supports the Council's priorities, initiatives, and ambitions.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:Develop and implement a comprehensive ICT strategy that aligns with the Council's vision and objectives. Lead the strategic planning process to ensure the ICT provision supports the priorities, initiatives, and ambitions of the Council.Stakeholder Engagement:Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Cabinet members, executive directors, and external partners. Provide strategic advice and guidance on ICT matters to ensure service priorities align with Council plans.Innovation and Change Management:Drive cultural change and technological innovation within the organisation. Lead the exploration of emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for improving service delivery and enhancing the Council's digital capabilities.Financial Management:Manage and monitor the ICT budget, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Develop strategies to maximise the financial resources available for ICT initiatives while ensuring alignment with the Council's overall financial objectives.Leadership and Management:Provide strong leadership to the ICT Strategy & Architecture team, guiding their development and ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across ICT service areas and council departments.This list is not exhaustive, please look at the attached job and person profile for further detail about this role.Qualifications Required:Degree equivalent and/or equivalent recognised ICT professional qualification and/or relevant experienceIndustry recognised qualification or certification for Enterprise Architecture and/or relevant experience.
