Assistant Director of Sport

The King's School is looking to appoint an Assistant Director of Sport.The teacher will be a qualified PE teacher, who will report to the Head of Academic PE and Head of Core PE on a day to day basis but is also expected to work closely with the Director of Sport in guiding the development of sport across the school.The successful candidate will have proven experience and a genuine commitment to teaching A-Level and BTEC PE and will be expected to lead, and be a strong presence in, core PE sessions which are based in the school’s Recreation Centre.The successful candidate must also be able to coach at least two of the schools’ major team sports to a high level, and have the ability to take overall charge of at least one of them, as well as being able to coach in at least one other sport. Coaching competitive sport is required in all three terms of the year, including at weekends. The main team sports are Rugby, Hockey, Netball, Football, Lacrosse, Rowing, Tennis, Cricket, Athletics and Swimming.
