As an assistant buyer you'll be be part of a collaborative business working to build cohesive and on trend ranges for both the high street and ecom. This brand have been around for a number of years, experiencing some of their biggest growth currently due to the success of their stores.
For this opportunity you'll be an experienced Buyers Assistant or Assistant Buyer. You'll be used to maintaining strong communication with your suppliers, whilst ensuring that your department runs smoothly from; critical path meetings, trade updates and general sample management.
ASSISTANT BUYER DETAILS:

• Monitoring daily sales and weekly trade
• Present Monday trade notes & key actions to the wider Buying, Merchandising and Design team
• Work closely to the Merchandising team for any repeats
• Actioning move on's with the supplier
• Confidently liaise with the supply base in a clear, concise and polite manner
• Gathering initial costs and fairly negotiate
• Supporting the Buyer and Designer with sample briefs and the delivery of new samples into the business
• Supporting the Trainee Buyer with their daily admin tasks
• Actively researching the market for latest trends, influencers and social media movements in fashion
• Making Buyers and Merchandisers of the competition
• Monitoring the market for any new promotions, collaborations or launches
• Monitor the critical path with your Trainee Buyer ensuring delays are communicated to the wider team
• Reviewing margin through all costing exercises
• Along with your Trainee Buyer, support the Buyer with all sign off and Monday Trade reports and other administrative tasks
• Attend all fit sessions
• Assist with production samples for imagery shots with the studio
• Support the Buyer with any supplier meetings where required
