Dove & Hawk are working in partnership with a high-end residential Property Management firm in Central London. They are currently in the process of hiring a Deputy Building Manager for their property in Grosvenor Square, Central London. This is a live-in role that comes with an on-site 2 bedroom property in a prime London location. The role itself would suit someone with 3+ years' experience working within a similar role:Duties/Functions of the role:Operating as an effective Deputy for the General Manager. Take full responsibility for any urgent maintenance issues or health and safety concerns – keeping the General Manager informedExhibiting the skills and techniques to take responsibility for the line management of colleagues in the General Manager’s absenceDemonstrating excellent Communication skills with colleagues, residents, retail customers, office tenants, plus contractors and all other third-party connections, leading to the delivery of high quality customer serviceEnsuring that the security measures at the property are maintained to a high standard at all times, such as keeping a record of
contractors/tradesmen
working on site (times, dates etc), logging any keys issued, monitoring security camerasRaising work orders on the bespoke Property Management system and instruct approved contractors where required to undertake reactive or planned maintenance or compliance works, whilst ensuring value for money and a high standard of finishAssisting the General Manager with ensuring all regulatory and health and safety compliance is up to dateDemonstrating proactive and timely communication around facilities management activities in consultation with colleagues – such as; drafting and distributing letters to residents as and when requested by the General Manager or property operations teamEnsuring building records are complete and accurate at all times ie visitor/contractor book, key inventory, key log, parcel log, pick-up log, residents check in/check out forms,
daily/weekly/monthly
checks, accident books, porters log.Assisting the General Manager with the implementation of company strategy, processes and procedures . To monitor team performance and provide coaching where necessary.Requirements of the role:3+ years' experience working in a similar Residential Building Management role.Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation relating to the working environment and residential buildings.A good working knowledge of Microsoft windows software including Word and Outlook .A good general knowledge of property maintenance and refurbishment principles and the ability to instruct and manage contractors accordingly.A good general knowledge of property mechanical and electrical installations including communal heating systems.A qualification in health and safety such as IOSH or a willingness to work towards it.Knowledge and experience of health and safety relating to property maintenance and refurbishment activities.Experience working with residential tenants living in prime central London property.Salary Budgets: £30,000pa plus a 2 Bedroom Apartment within the development.Required Working Hours: A 4 weekly rotating shift pattern (NO NIGHTSHIFTS), with only 1 in 4 weeks requiring any weekend cover.If you are an experienced Assistant/Building Manager looking to work for a professional brand with excellent staff retention and progression opportunities then apply for this role immediately or contact Matthew Squirrell at Dove & Hawk quoting vacancy reference: 10470.Send me alerts about jobs like this.Please enter your email address to continue setting up an email alert for similar jobs to this one.
