Founded in 2001, Total Plumbing Supplies is an independent plumbers' merchant supplying to both trade and public customers in Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire and Devon.

Total Plumbing Supplies is proud to be part of the Independent Builders Merchant Group (IBMG). IBMG is the largest independent merchant group in the South of England operating through five core divisions (Builders Merchants, Timber, Plumbing & Heating, Roofing and Electrical), primarily serving trade customers with an extensive range of products. Due to the continued success and expansion of our business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Branch Manager to join our team in Axminster.
The Role
We are recruiting for a new Assistant Branch Manager to join our team in our Axminster branch,to support the Branch Manager in running the branch's day to day activities, involving all operating processes and procedures.
Daily Duties
Contribute to the team by maintaining effective levels of communication to achieve shared objectives
Develop and maintains strong customer and supplier relationships
Contributes towards developing the customer base, improving retention, satisfaction, product mix and range
Contribute to the delivery of sales plans for specific business areas, sectors and products
Provide advice, information and quotations to ensure a maximum level of sales and margin
Ensure that sales departmental accounting and credit control procedures are complied with as determined by the Company Financial Management Policies and Procedures
Be involved in setting and reviewing financial, volume and operational objectives
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation, Company guidance and procedures in relation to understanding and disseminating of these policies and practises to your employees ensuring safe working practises are employed within your operation at all times
The Requirements
Driving licence
Plumbing & heating knowledge
Experience in a similar role
Sales techniques
A customer-focused approach
Strong administration and organisational skills
Develop and maintain excellent relationships
Strong sales and negotiation skills
Confident communicator at all levels
Ability to build and maintain relationships
Approachable
The Hours
Week 1: Monday to Friday 07:30 - 17:00
Week 2: Monday to Friday 07:30 - 17:00 & Saturday 08:00 - 12:00
