Assistant Accountant

Interaction Accountancy and Finance are actively recruiting on behalf of a small local business in their search for an Assistant Accountant to join their team as part of a restructure - based near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the typical duties would include:

Leading the production of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and variance analysis
Posting of accruals, prepayments and journals
Maintain fixed asset register and post depreciation
Reconciling control accounts
Sales Ledger - mainly credit control
Cashflow forecasting
Bank reconciliations
VAT returns
Support in processing monthly payroll
Adhoc duties to support a small team
Applications are welcomed from individuals with the following skills and experience:

Previous accounts experience within a small business environment is essential
Experience of day to day finance duties
Ability to produce management accounts would be desirable
Team player with a flexible attitude
Excellent communication skills are essential
IT Literate, especially Microsoft Excel and Sage

Due to location, your own transport is essential as there are no public transport options to their location.

This is an office based role, working 9-5 Monday to Friday with interviews taking place imminently
