Assistant Accountant

The Business
Our client is a manufacturing business, based in Blackpool, with an annual revenue of c. £10m. Their revenue is generated through multiple channels; trade, long-term contracts and an e-commerce platform for the general public to purchase their product line. Since launch, the latter has generated an additional £180,000 per month in the top line sales. The team based in Blackpool is growing at a fast pace, having increased from just 7 staff to now around 30 in the last 4 years. To accommodate this growth, they have moved a number of the finance processes toward automation, helping with work volumes. However, there is still a need for extra resources in finance to support the Finance Manager across the business.
The Role
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their growing finance team, as the Bookkeeper you will be responsible for:
Taking care of the day to day accounting records
Completing the Bookkeeping up to trial balance and reconciling bank accounts, including supplier and customer accounts using multi currencies in some instances
Preparing and sending daily payment runs
Maintaining debtors and creditors, balancing stock and inputting employee expenses
