Assistant Accountant

CMA Recruitment Group is working closely with a leading supplier of goods to the UK market, in their search for an Assistant Accountant.  Based in their Chichester offices, the successful candidate will work closely with the financial accounting team ensuring all financial information is reported accurately and promptly.  
What will the Assistant Accountant role involve?

• Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations with specific responsibility for fixed assets and the fixed asset register.
• Preparing and submitting VAT and tax compliance returns.
• Assisting with monthly intercompany reconciliations.
• Preparing and submitting Group VAT and tax compliance returns.
• Monthly intercompany reconciliations and overseeing posting of invoices to ensure posted to the correct entities.
• Assistance in cash management and scheduling of payments.

Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Accountant vacancy:

• Ideally part qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA, though early studiers and those doing their AAT will be considered.
• Excellent numeracy and problem-solving skills.
• Good people skills to build strong relationships with business and external partners.
