Waystone provides its clients with the guidance and tools to allow them to focus on managing their investment goals with confidence and is looking for an Asset Operations Analyst to join our Investment Operations team in Leeds.
The business has an Investment Operations function that supports the centralisation of a range of activities that cover the full lifecycle of an investment fund. The Leeds team will help establish this "hub and spoke" model which includes building and collaborating with a team based in Mumbai as well as delivering high quality outputs to the business teams located across Europe.
The roles will suit people with a strong background in Investment Fund administration and Investment Compliance monitoring. Candidates should be comfortable with using some of the industry standard tools available to deliver Investment Compliance Monitoring, Oversight and Reporting, Trade Oversight, Fast Market monitoring, Asset Pricing, Swing Pricing and other responsibilities associated with managing and overseeing all of the assets associated with the funds Waystone is responsible for.
Key Accountabilities & Main Responsibilities
Strategic Focus
Support and review business process and system changes, ensuring business accuracy around all documentation and impacts to service delivery.
Operational Management
Ensure all task procedures are followed in order to result in accurate asset and fund pricing where the team is able. On an ongoing basis, ensure all procedures are maintained and that they reflect updates brought about from internal policy or regulation changes.
Support the continued growth of the "hub and spoke" operating model, ensuring offshore hub is established with appropriate controls.
Respond to enquiries promptly, proactively handling issues, and striving for the highest levels of customer service.
People Leadership
Develop and maintain relationships with Waystone internal teams (e.g. Investment Compliance, Investment Risk, Client Services, IT, Oversight, Finance, Compliance, Product and Change Delivery)
Governance & Risk
Ensure all internal and external service levels and regulatory deadlines are met within the Asset Operations team
Experience And Personal Attributes
Previous experience of overseeing assets held within Fund structures, e.g. trade oversight, asset pricing, fair value pricing, swing pricing and fast market oversight
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Excellent verbal and written communication
Excellent analytical skills with particular focus on investment / market data
The ability to work to strict deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Proven ability to operate independently and take the initiative.
Knowledge of UK fund legislation, Fund Administration and the regulatory environment
Desirable
Previous experience in a Middle Office or Investment Operations background.
Knowledge of the application of Investment Borrowing Powers rules and / or working in an Investment Compliance team responsible for Investment and Borrowing Power monitoring.
Experience of all Fund pricing, including anti-dilution methodologies.
Experience of Asset trade administration or trade capture.
Relevant regulatory exams (e.g. IOC, IMC)
