This is a role within the Service Performance Management function. The role sits in the Business Systems Service Delivery team who are responsible for managing the services Business Systems deliver to our internal and external SQA customers.The Asset and Configuration Analyst will be responsible for ensuring all Configuration data and information relating to SQA infrastructure and supported services are captured, documented & maintained accurately.The analyst will initially be focussed on maintaining and building on the current CMDB (Configuration Management Database), service mapping, reviewing asset and configuration polices/processes, and carry out a full end to end review of Service Asset and Configuration data for all SQA supported services. Thereafter the analyst will be responsible for loading Asset and CI (Configuration Items) data into the CMDB, managing the ongoing integrity of the CMDB and its CI’s and promote/develop the Service Asset and Configuration Management process and policy.The following experience or skills are required;Good communication and customer service skillsService Management/Configuration Management toolingExperience in Asset management with multiple services and a high volume of change (internal & Cloud platforms)Assist in development of reporting and audit methodsMaintain accurate configuration information on the historical, planned and current state of services and other CIs.Support service and performance management processes by providing accurate configuration information to allow Major Incident, Problem Management and support colleagues to make informed decisionsOwn, develop and promote Service Asset & Configuration Management processes.Ability to communicate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levelsApplicants, as a minimum, should be educated to SCQF level 8 or ideally of an ITIL nature (ITIL foundation 3 as a minimum).
