Overview
We are looking for an experienced Asset Accountant to join our team in Chippenham for a 9 month FTC. This is a new role and as a part of the team, you will be managing a team of 2 Assistants. The right applicant will take full ownership of this new position and be integral in driving forward and developing the fixed asset and leasing accounts.
This is a hybrid role with the requirement to be in the Chippenham office on Tuesday and Wednesday each week.
Salary - £ Comp
How will you contribute?
Manage the Fixed Asset process, ensuring ongoing conformance and accounting via Oracle system
Manage the Lease Management process, ensuring ongoing conformance and accounting for IFRS16 Leases via Oracle SAS system
Ownership of the development and running of the IFRS16 Lease module
Ensure that both IFRS16 leases and non-qualifying lease information is accurate with recharges and reconciliations actioned on a timely basis
Ownership of the Bi-annual reconciliation of the Fleet management system to IFRS16 qualifying leases and non-qualifying leases
Manage specific accounting and budgetary requirements for IFRS16 accounting for Properties
Support the Financial Services Manager with the HY/YE audit requirements.
Liaise with our External auditors on IFRS16 leases and Fixed Assets.
Identify areas for continued improvement and create a controls environment in line with the accounting controls framework to mitigate the risk of material error or misstatement.
Capex Reporting - Including ACE form tracking
What will you bring?
Experience within a similar role
Qualified or qualified by experience
Self-motivated with a drive for results.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience of managing and developing teams.
Ability and flexibility to deliver under pressure.
Experience of working with external auditors would be an advantage.
