Product Delivery and Content are responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio of educational digital and print assessment products used to support teaching and learning globally.
As part of the assessment development process, we conduct a series of assessment research trials to ensure our assessments are valid, reliable, and fair.
The Assessment Operations Coordinator is integral to assessment operations – responsible for maintaining existing product content and supporting assessment trials, which take place at key points during the academic cycle. Working within project teams, the Assessment Operations Coordinator supports these trials, which are core to the assessment development process; primarily working on the recruitment of schools, ensuring a balanced trial sample, providing support to schools throughout the trialling process.
Job Responsibilities
Trial management
Supporting research trialling activity for assessment development projects. This will involve:
Working closely with Assessment Project Managers and Stats & Research teams to understand trial design and requirements.
Recruiting schools to take part in trials.
Managing trial microsites; providing schools with important information
Tracking recruitment numbers
Supporting monitoring trial samples using in-house systems to ensure the sample meets specified requirements.
Providing school and student access to assessments and reports
Managing incentive payments for schools.
Working with assessment development project teams to continually improve operational effectiveness.
Content operations
The role will also provide administrative support in various areas across the team.
Print and backlist – responsible for quality checks and sign-off of reprint content from our paper portfolio, working closely with our stock controller to deliver to the printing schedule.
Operational improvements – working closely with the PD&C Operations Manager on process and systems improvements, including an initial project to tidy up our product archive.
Purchase orders and invoicing – raising and tracking purchase orders and invoices for the team.
Quality assurance for new assessment content – assisting in QA activities, including proofreading and working through tests ready for trialling and live use to ensure tests behave as expected.

KEY BEHAVIOURS:

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Essential:
Proficient with MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
Knowledge of the UK school system.
Confidence in working directly with customers.
Highly literate with editorial eye and solid proofreading ability.
Strong numeracy skills.
Minimum of 5 A*-C or 9 – 4 GCSEs including English and Maths.
Degree or equivalent work experience relevant to the role.
Desirable:
Experience in an education setting or office environment.
Experience of trialling or sampling.
Demonstrable experience in a customer facing role.

This position is based on hybrid basis out of either our London Vantage office or our Swindon office. We offer salary between £24,000 and £26,000 per annum.
