Assembly Technician

Assembly Technician required for my client based in Stevenage who worked within the automated solutions of the engineering industry.

The successful assembly technician will be using a variety of tools and equipment, working across various areas of the company's production on both automated and automated product lines.

Experience within shading, in any previous engineering technician position, would be benefitical for this role.

Assembly Technician Position Overview

• Read, interpret and follow basic diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble products.
• Understanding of shading, cutting and measuring diagrams.
• Basic understanding of electrical wiring and motors.
• Maintain inventory of product and parts in work stations.
• Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
• Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
• Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
• Reporting to the department team lead and operations director.

Assembly Technician Position Requirements

• Experience working in an assembly technician and mechanical technician role.
• Experience of shading, measuring, cutting and diagrams is beneficial.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools.
• Enthusiasm and interest in engineering and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of materials, ability to distinguish types.
• Previous experience in manufacturing/ engineering environment advantageous.
• Based within a commutable distance of Stevenage.

Assembly Technician Position Remuneration

• Salary - �28,000 to �35,000 - dependent upon experience, skill and qualifications.
• Full time position - Monday to Friday.
• 25 Days Holiday, plus bank holidays.
• Pension Scheme. 8% contribution from company.
