Assembly Engineer
West-Midlands: on-site
6 month initial Contract
(expected 12 month extension thereafter) project until 2026
To create the specifications and technically follow up supplier developments of assembly means whilst being aware of quality, cost and timing. (Includes semi and fully automated cells for punching/ welding/ bonding/ assembly).
Responsibilities
In accordance with the Manufacturing Project Manager (MPM) project plan, defines and writes the assembly equipment technical specifications.
Assist the MPM on design for manufacturing.
Create the technical documentation of the assembly means.
Technically follows the design, the build and the tuning of the assembly means.
Organises and pilots the sign-off. Technically supports the run at rates. Organises analyses and validates the capability of machines. Ensures a technical help to the production plant during industrialisation
Assist MPM/Logistics development with pre-build and prototypes equipment.
Requirements
In depth knowledge and experience of assembly methods and equipment.
Engineering qualifications to HNC/degree level.
Automotive Experience with Tier 1 Suppliers
Large plastics experience (ideally injection moulding)
