Asphalt Distribution Planner

We are actively looking to engage asphalt, tarmac and concrete distribution planning specialists for an exicitng opportunity in Coalville, Leciestershire!

The opportunity as a Asphalt Distribution Planner will be working for one of the leading companies in the supply chain and logistics sectors. With over 1,000 vehicles stationed at sites across the UK, my client is one of the fundamental players in the aggregates, asphalt, concretes and ready-mix sector!

Description

As an Asphalt Distribution Planner you will report into the Transport Manager on a daily basis and focus on the following key areas:

• Proactively routing and design solutions for a fleet of 50+ vehicles
• Analysing production and logistics capacity plants from numerous plants responsible for aggregates & asphalt production.
• Communication between commercial, haulage partners and production staff.
• Responding to customers enquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure fleet operates to full utilisation in line with VOSA regulations
• Ensuring maintenance scheduling are adhered to.

Profile

The successful Asphalt Distribution Planner will be a successful and experienced leader and transport planner ideally with previous Aggregates, Asphalt, Concrete or Pre-cast experience. You will also be able to commute to the Coalville area of Leicestershire and have the following skills set:

• 2+ years transport planning experience.
• Ideally experience in planning asphalt, aggregates or concretes movements.
• Experience planning over 30+ individual loads per day
• Commutable to the Coalville area of Leicestershire
