My Client is a leading Asbestos Contractor established over 30 yrs. ago, operating across the commercial & industrial sector.

They are currently seeking an Asbestos Laboratory Technician to join them in their Chelmsford office.

Asbestos Laboratory Technician

Position Overview

As an Asbestos Lab Technician, you will be responsible for conducting the testing of asbestos samples, uploading results to the designated platform (e.g., TEAMS), and managing various aspects of the laboratory, including stock control. Your role will involve meticulous sample analysis, efficient data management, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. You will collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and productive laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform analysis of asbestos samples using appropriate microscopy techniques


• Follow established protocols and procedures for sample preparation, analysis, and data interpretation.


• Ensure accurate and reliable results through careful attention to detail and adherence to q Upload test results and related documentation to the designated platform (e.g., TEAMS) in a timely manner.


• Maintain organized records of sample information, analysis results, and other relevant data.


• Verify the accuracy of uploaded information and address any discrepancies as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• P401 Certificate required.


• Previous experience working in a similar position within the asbestos industry.


• Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package and TEAMS experience is preferable.

Salary

The salary on offer for this role is �26k - �30k+ package, depending upon previous experience.
