Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Stafford, Staffordshire
Salary: 22k - 28k DOE + Benefits
Professional asbestos management consultancy is currently looking for a qualified asbestos lab analyst to join their Midlands team. Applicants will come from a strong asbestos lab background and will have practical experience carrying out the analysis of asbestos bulk samples in line with UKAS guidelines. Candidates based in the Midlands / Staffordshire area, locations considered include; Stafford, Stone, Stoke-on-Trent, Cheadle, Keele, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Market Drayton, Whitchurch, Uttoxeter, Cannock, Telford, Walsall, Lichfield and the surrounding areas.
Experience
- BOHS P401.
- Practical experience working with an asbestos lab.
- Working knowledge of UKAS guidelines.
- Experience calibrating and maintaining lab equipment.
- Experience using PLM and stereo microscopy methods.
Role:
- Analysing asbestos bulk samples for the for the presence of asbestos.
- Carrying out all work to professional standards including the companies internal procedures, HSG guidelines and UKAS standards.
- Participating in internal quality assurance analysis schemes and AIMS.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy lab at all times.
- Calibration of all laboratory equipment.
- Results and entering on to internal databases.
- Sending asbestos analysis reports to relevant department.
