Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Brentwood, Essex
Salary / Benefits: �22k - �34k + Flexible working hours
Privately owned UKAS asbestos consultancy is currently recruiting for an experienced asbestos lab analyst to join their Essex office. You will joining a long-standing team of lab analysts, undertaking the analysis of suspected ACMs. Applicants must have the P401 qualification and experience working within an asbestos laboratory. For the right candidate, the client can offer and above average salary and flexible working hours. Our client is happy to receive applications from those seeking both full time and part time hours.
Applicants will be in commutable distance of the following areas: Brentwood, Romford, Ilford, Basildon, Grays, Billericay, Wickford, Staford-le-Hope, Rayleigh, Hockley, Rochford, Southern-on-Sea, Canvey Island, Rochford and Chelmsford.
Experience / Qualifications:
- BOHS P401 (essential).
- Experience working as an asbestos lab analyst within a UKAS accredited consultancy.
- Able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of HSG 248 regulations.
- Keen eye for detail.
- Friendly and professional demeanour,
Role
- Analysing asbestos bulk samples for the for the presence of asbestos.
- Carrying out all work to professional standards including the companies internal procedures, HSG guidelines and UKAS standards.
- Participating in internal quality assurance analysis schemes and AIMS.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy lab at all times.
- Calibration of all laboratory equipment.
- Results and entering on to internal databases.
- Sending asbestos analysis reports to relevant department.
