Asbestos Lab Analyst

Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst.
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire.
Salary / Benefits �22k - �28k + Training + Benefits
We have an industry leading Asbestos Consultancy who are now seeking to recruit an Asbestos Lab Analyst. The successful candidate will have experience with the asbestos industry, working for a UKAS accredited Asbestos laboratory. You will be working from their West Yorkshire laboratory, joining a team of friendly lab analyst, carrying out sample analysis, calibration of equipment and continuously maintaining the companies UKAS accreditation.
Consideration will be given to candidates from: Huddersfield, Halifax, Brighouse, Elland, Hebden Bridge, Batley, Morley, Leeds, Dewsbury, Keighley, Bingley, Shipley and the surrounding areas.
Experience & Qualifications:
" Will hold the BOHS P401 qualification.
" Experience working within a UKAS accredited laboratory.
" Keen eye for detail.
" Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
" Able to prioritise work efficiently.
" Excellent IT skills.
The Role:
" Carrying out sample analysis in line with relevant HSG guidelines.
" Efficiently logging samples onto internal systems upon arrival to the laboratory.
" Ensuring that samples are bagged, labelled, and stored correctly.
" Using PLM and stereo microscopy to carry out sample analysis.
" Filling out job sheets upon completion of analysis, ensuring they are completed within agreed timeframes.
" Ensuring internal systems are kept accurate and up to date.
" Ensuring all laboratory equipment is calibrated and clean.
" Liaising with clients, dealing with any issues, and providing advice and support.
" Ensuring to maintain the companies UKAS accreditation.
