Join us in shaping a better future for everyone.About the Team/ServiceCamden Learning, in collaboration with Google, is launching a pioneering AI-focused educational campus in Somers Town, slated to open in Autumn 2024. The London AI Campus aims to elevate AI literacy among sixth-form students and the wider community, emphasising accessibility for underrepresented groups through a student-centred curriculum. Located on Charrington Street, the campus will also feature primary computing facilities and an out-of-hours Opportunity Centre.About the RoleThe London AI Education Campus Director will spearhead this innovative venture, enhancing curriculum activities for post-16 students in maths, physics, and computer science borough-wide. Responsibilities include managing the new Opportunity Centre located at the London AI Campus. This role supports Camden's Education and STEAM strategies, providing a preparatory enrichment program for students interested in AI careers and study. The position is part-time, with an additional teaching option in Camden schools.Key Responsibilities:Post-16 Enrichment Curriculum: Development and delivery of a comprehensive enrichment curriculum for AI-focused A-level and T-level students, in collaboration with tech industry partners.Opportunity Centre: Promotion and management of the Opportunity Centre, offering technology access and enrichment beyond school hours.Building Management: Overseeing the use and maintenance of the London AI Campus building, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of its users.About YouYou are an innovative leader with a background in maths, physics, or computer science, eager to drive this new initiative. With expertise in curriculum design, technology, and a commitment to social justice, you possess the skills to build relationships, manage resources, and influence positive outcomes. You will engage extensively with partners and stakeholders, necessitating strong communication and strategic relationship skills.People Management and RelationshipsThe AI Education Campus Director will oversee staff at the Opportunity Centre and curriculum delivery, reporting to the Director of Programmes – STEAM and Partnerships.
