Marylebone Cricket Club (the Club) is the world's most active cricket club, custodian of the laws of cricket and is also the owner of Lord's Ground, affectionately known as the "Home of Cricket".
The MCC and Lord's brands are renowned worldwide and are synonymous with excellence, prestige and providing an enjoyable customer experience, whether at an international cricket match with 31,000 spectators or for Sunday Afternoon Tea in the Long Room.
MCC recognise that Zone-Ex is an area of growing importance and in need of defined leadership and management by a member of our staff. The SGSA define Zone-Ex as;
'Consisting of those areas, either in the public domain or under private ownership, considered to be integral to the circulation and safe management of people both arriving at the venue and dispersing afterwards.'

The roads surrounding Lord's fall within this definition, and within these roads, we deploy our own staff and staff from our security contractors (currently two distinct companies). Coordination of these resources by a named and identified individual is, we say, crucial to ensuring command, coordination, and control of staff.
The Area Security Supervisor will coordinate and deploy resources within Zone-Ex at MCC and form the link between these resources and Lord's Control on match days at MCC. You will act in line with the club's standards and values: smart, attentive and original.
Required Skills and Experience
The demands of the cricket season mean extended hours and intense periods of work - including weekends - and the ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate personal resilience to manage this and still deliver their best work.
The ideal candidates for this Area Security Supervisor role will show strong customer focus, great teamwork and have the ability to work under pressure.
You must hold a Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Spectator Safety or be able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience.
Commitment to Work
All Area Security Supervisors applying for this position must be available for 75% of major match days, including two International Test Matches, One-Day International, T20 Blast fixtures and The Hundred tournament. This equates to working a minimum of 15 out of the 20 major match days in 2024.
