Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager required to join a leading Fluid Power distributor.
The successful Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager will cover the Scotland, Central Belt selling and managing key accounts within the Fluid Power / MRO sector via distribution channels and end users / OEM channels.
The successful Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager will ideally have experience selling, servicing, manufacturing, or managing key accounts within the Fluid Power or Industrial Engineering sector such as hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, hoses, valves, cylinders, power packs, gearboxes or similar Fluid Power / Mechanical Engineer products.

Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager Role

• Managing a number of key accounts via distribution channels and OEM customers in various industries.
• Manage and grow existing relationships as well as business development selling various Hydraulic and Pneumatic related products including pumps, motors, hoses, valves, cylinders, fittings, actuators, power packs, gearboxes and similar fluid power products.
• Maintaining Hydraulic sales with demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation in order to achieve targets.
• Working closely with the Service Department to ensure an excellent standard of after-sales service is provided.
• Working remotely covering Scotland, mainly the central belt.
• Liaise with various engineering departments.

Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager Requirements

• Experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer or similar within Engineering.
• Experience selling or servicing Fluid Power or Industrial Engineering sector such as hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, hoses, valves, cylinders, power packs, gearboxes or similar Fluid Power / Mechanical Engineer products.
• Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a reputable engineering Distributor.
• Hydraulic or Pneumatic Service Engineers looking to progress into a sales role will also be considered.
• Candidates with strong sales experience from a similar mechanical / industrial engineering background will also be considered.
• Full clean driving license.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites across Scotland.
