We are currently recruiting for Area Sales Manager to join our team in and around Newcastle-upon-Tyne. In a nutshell..



You'll generate sales using solution selling techniques to promote the company’s full range of products and services to key stakeholders in the Knauf value chain within a defined geographic area.



Responsibilities include:




  • Regular customer contact. You will build and maintain customer relationships to protect and grow sales position in the market.

  • Seek new business opportunities ensuring future growth in existing and emerging markets.

  • Monitoring customer activity both financially and commercially.

  • Offer practical advice of a technical nature to uphold the company’s reputation for technical excellence

  • Complete and submit call reports and activity reports through salesforce.

  • Ensure immediate administration of all terms, rebates and project support documentation or any other documentation that may affect the invoicing of our customers

  • Monitor, Track and engage projects using salesforce CRM

  • Operating a live business plan for the territory to support growth and development including customer segmentation.

  • Offering support for product launches and events where necessary

  • Undertaking duties supporting recruitment & selection, learning & development, change management and assist in improving processes using a Winning Attitude

  • Actively participate and give input to team and individual projects, including internal policies, induction programme implementation, Staff Council and Health & Safety

  • Collaborate with National Account teams to ensure site compliance regionally with supply chain activity

  • Create pricing documents using CRM/SAP system. Amending volumes and values where necessary for the lifecycle of the document

  • Monitor document usage and optimize efficiency to help grow profitable business and close undesirable terms.

  • Accurately forecast direct and non-direct customer spend via net price feed quarterly update (including auditing/validating invoices)

  • Accurately forecast product volume purchasing via product category in region



Requirements:







  • Previous experience working within an Area Sales role previously

  • A proven track record with excellent negotiation and good customer care relationship building skills

  • Self motivated with the ability to work independently
