We have a vacancy for an Area Quality Lead to join us on the MEH Alliance working on the Hinkley Point C construction project.
Responsibilities:
Support the development of quality (QA/QC) arrangements for deployment across the MEHA organisation for the HK8010 contract scope.
Ensure the implementation of quality (QA/QC) arrangements across the MEHA organisation for the HK8010 contract designated scope of work.
Act as single point of contact (SPoC) for quality function in assigned area / scope of work
Support the compilation and review of End of Erection Status (EESR)reports and associated records
Manage installation surveillance / inspection activities in assigned area / scope of work
Management of Non-Conformances in assigned area / scope of work
Undertake actions to resolve issues relating to the implementation of quality and to bring about improvements, and support others in these actions.
Requirements:
A recognised qualification in a relevant science or engineering subject, or equivalent qualification in a mechanical, electrical, or Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) discipline
Broad experience of implementing a variety of quality related solutions on large projects
Proven track record of delivering results to tight timescales and evolving scope
Leadership experience working in a QA / QC environment within the nuclear industry or other highly regulated industry.
Proven experience of interaction and resolving issues with a wide range of stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment and multi discipline team

NG Bailey on the Hinkley Point C Project:
We are working across both Hinkley Point C units to deliver the infrastructure that will power the station and its operations, creating 1,000 jobs including many specialist engineers. Works include the design and installation of circa 76,000 cables totalling over 3,000km in length; over 180km of cable containment support systems; fire and environmental sealing; design and installation of earthing systems, and specialist packages associated with data acquisition and plant control.
