Overview and Main Responsibilities:
Working alongside the Architectural Manager, you will have the skills and experience to provide architectural technical support for the design, development and delivery of electrical charging projects within new and existing facilities to meet the needs of the growing UK market and its wider Net Zero commitments.
A key aspect of the role is the ability to interpret the Client’s brief and produce feasibility drawings, GAs, planning applications and develop further detailed technical drawings suitable for building warrant submissions, tender purposes and construction to support the multi-disciplinary team.
Role Responsibilities:
Assist with the design of EV charging projects across the UK, through all stages, inception to completion, in line with the RIBA Plan of Work 2020.
Prepare or work to predefined briefs, complete feasibility studies, develop concept designs, technical designs and support on site construction.
Visit sites and carry out appraisals / inspections and minute / report as required.
Work collaboratively with the team to interpret design concepts and produce comprehensive, high quality drawing packages for multiple projects including planning, building warrant, tender and construction information packs.
Assist the Architectural Manager in setting-up, applying and maintaining Envevo’s CAD Standards including Templates, Layers, Plot & Dim Styles and Block Library etc.
Assist the Architectural Manager to develop, maintain and deliver client specific details, specifications and Design Manuals.
Effective at achieving statutory approvals as required for each project.
Review and co-ordinate other sub-consultant’s proposals and drawing packs.
Prepare Designer’s Risk Assessments to comply with CDM Regulations.
Support the team in delivering defined project objectives, to the required quality, budget and programme.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients and other disciplines / groups and be able to work proactively and efficiently as part of a wider design team.
Ensure understanding and application of responsibilities about the Company’s Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards.
Qualifications
A degree in Architecture or HNC/HND level in Building/Architectural Technology
A minimum of 5 years post qualification / industry experience of projects from inception to completion in the UK
Construction and site experience
Excellent working knowledge of UK regulatory codes and requirements / producing and submitting Planning & Building Warrant Applications
Proficient user of AutoCAD and Office Suite
Experience of working on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Strong technical abilities and understanding of construction detailing / specification
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-friendly attitude
Self-motivated and pro-active with ability to work collaboratively, prioritise workload and deliver as an individual.
A proven track record / portfolio of previous work
A valid UK driving licence
Experience in Commercial sectors would be preferred with knowledge of Petrol Forecourts / Energy infrastructure sectors advantageous.
Experience with Autodesk Vehicle Tracking Software would be advantageous.
