We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprenticeship Training Manager - Roofing to join Langley!To support and work closely with the Senior Apprenticeships Manager / Head of Operations to deliver the Roofer Level 2 Apprenticeship standard to support the industry's need to train the existing workforce as well as the next generation of talent.The role will oversee several cohorts of apprentices in delivering an outstanding quality of education to learners and ensure that they develop a range of skills associated to Slating and Tiling as well as rounded personal development and employability skills to improve their career aspirations of which are aligned to Ofsted's Education and Inspection Framework.Key Accountabilities:
* To contribute to the overall success of the Company's direction and Apprenticeship Strategy.
* To support the Senior Apprenticeship Manager to contribute towards of the annual Self-Assessment Report by providing key information related to the quality of education performance indicators (off the job training, attendance, learner satisfaction rates).
* To support the Senior Apprenticeship Manager to ensure allocated targets from the Quality Improvement Plan are implemented to support the Company's direction to achieve Ofsted outstanding.
* To deliver the Roofer Level 2 (Slating and Tiling) Apprenticeship Standard's core skills, knowledge to prepare learners for their end point assessment.
* To prepare lesson plans to ensure the Apprenticeship standards knowledge, skills and behaviours align to the delivery method (classroom and practical).
* To track and monitor learners progress by ensuring that formative and summative assessment methods (mock tests, reflective learning, self-directed study) are effectively undertaken to prepare learners for distinction status.
* To ensure that Functional skills progress is made for learners with continued preparation to achieve up to a level 2 standard throughout the apprenticeship scheme.
* To communicate effectively with learners, employers and parents that provides assurances that learners are making progress in accordance with employer expectations by monitoring feedback and satisfaction rates.
* Motivate and inspire learners to grasp new topics through curriculum innovation by blended themes such as safeguarding, British values and prevent into lesson plans.
* To maintain a proactive culture of continued CPD aligned to industry practice, safeguarding, prevent and in accordance with the departments quality assurance processes.
* To deputise for the Senior Apprenticeships Manager where required to oversee the Training Centre and its daily operation to co-ordinate training materials and equipment.
* To ensure new products are fully and effectively integrated into the Company through close liaison with other departments.
* To keep abreast of technical innovation and industry focus, introducing new concepts that maintain and continuously improve the Company's cutting-edge services.
* To ensure all training activities and materials meet with relevant organisational and statutory policies, including health and safety, employment, and equality laws.Qualifications:-Level 3 Award in Education (AET) and or Assessor Course (A1) - Essential-VTCT Level 3 Certificate on Assessing Vocational Achievement (QCF) - DesirableExperience:Ability to demonstrate successful:-Delivery of Training Programmes in Construction and or Roofing-An understanding of government funding and associated quality assurance-Extensive experience of designing and delivering training programmes-Experience of mapping learning needs analysis-Experience of working in construction or the flat roofing industryKnowledge:-Knowledge of different learning styles-Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages-Knowledge of relevant building regulations associated with the flat roofing industry and or Construction-Knowledge of the British Standard Code of Practice-Understanding of any NFRC developments and new guidelinesSkills and Abilities:-Ability to design and deliver training programmes that cater for different learning styles mapped to a standard-Ability to inspire others to high levels of achievement against challenging objectives-Ability to collaborate effectively across the business to achieve shared objectives-Effective coaching skills to improve others' performance-Confident, clear, and articulate communication skills, both verbally and in writing-Confident communication skills-Active listening skills-Exceptional organisational skills-Engaging training delivery skills-Exceptional IT skillsAdditional Requirements:-Commitment to achieving high-quality outcomes-This role requires the post holder to be an Essential Car User, hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.-Travel may be required to other Training Centre location (national)
