Job Description:
As an Apprenticeship Trainer for the Passenger Transport Operative Level 2 qualification, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and supporting apprentices through their journey of skill development and certification attainment in the Rail sector. You will be responsible for delivering engaging training sessions, assessing apprentices’ progress, and providing constructive feedback to ensure their success with a large Levy paying employer who manages a rail network in and around London and has worked with Linden since 2016.
The position will be home based but must be able to commute to see learners on the London rail network.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Delivery:
Design and deliver comprehensive training sessions aligned with the requirements of the Passenger Transport Operative Level 2 qualification. Supporting learners to develop Functional Skills to the level of competence required. Guide and ensure learners are ready for End Point Assessment within agreed timeframes
Assessment and Evaluation:
Conduct regular assessments to evaluate apprentices’ understanding and proficiency in relevant skills and knowledge areas.
Individualised Support:
Provide personalised guidance and support to apprentices, addressing their learning needs and challenges effectively.
Curriculum Development:
Collaborate with curriculum development teams to enhance training materials and resources, ensuring they remain up-to-date and relevant.
Progress Monitoring:
Monitor apprentices’ progress closely, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to facilitate continuous growth and learners continue to meet OTJ requirements month on month.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of apprentices’ performance, assessment outcomes, and training activities, adhering to organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
Industry Engagement:
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in the passenger transport sector, integrating relevant insights into training delivery and content.
Professional Development:
Continuously develop your own knowledge and skills through participation in training programs, workshops, and relevant professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Hold a relevant A1, TAQA, CAVA, or D32/33 and teaching or training qualification (e.g., PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, or equivalent).
Extensive experience working in the passenger transport industry, with a strong understanding of industry standards and practices.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality training and assessment within a vocational education context.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners effectively.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities concurrently.
Experience with supporting the delivery and testing of functional skills in Math's & English
Proficiency in using educational technologies and digital learning platforms is desirable.

Would be desirable if the successful candidate had experience delivering other qualifications.
