Full year, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays
We are seeking an experienced administrator/manager who has worked within a school/FE/HE environment to join our Apprenticeship Team and help shape the business and engineering leaders of the future. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with ESFA funding and audit rules, facilitating learner registration and qualification claims, ensuring contracts are in place with employers and sub-contractors and ensuring the ILR is populated and submitted on a monthly basis.
About The JCB Academy
The JCB Academy is a school specialising in business and engineering. We teach learners from Y9 to SixthForm and provide Intermediate (L2) and Advanced (L3) apprenticeship programmes as well as Business and Engineering T-Levels which provide additional choices post-GCSE. Our apprenticeship programme is a highly successful provision which enables our partners to recruit and develop engineers of the future. Our approach pairs knowledge-based classroom learning with practical application through a wide range of workshop disciplines. We work in partnership with a growing list of large world-class employers including JCB, Rolls-Royce, Michelin, Merlin Entertainment, Hitachi Energy and The HEX Group.
Situated close to Uttoxeter, you’ll have a picturesque market town on your doorstep and easy access to many independent shops, cafes and bars. Once you’ve explored that, there are plenty of characterful villages and cultural attractions to immerse yourself in as well as great travel links to major cities and The Peaks. It’s a beautiful place to call home and there’s an abundance of great-value-for-money housing available. We offer a benefits package which includes an Employee Assistance Programme (including financial guidance, legal enquiries, support for issues at home and at work), access to JCB’s dental scheme (monthly fee), free access to the academy’s gym, free on-site parking and Cyclescheme.
About you
You’ll already have experience of using ILR systems in relation to ESFA funding for apprenticeship programmes and ideally you will understand how to use management information and examination board systems. Strong organisational and planning skills are essential, together with the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure. You will be a self-starter, able to work on your own initiative and react to changing priorities.
