We're seeking a talented Applications Lead to spearhead our Applications Team and drive excellence in digital solutions. If you thrive on optimising services, automating tasks, and fostering strong partnerships, this role is for you!Purpose of Role:As the Applications Lead, you'll be at the forefront of our digital transformation, leading a dedicated team of Application Support Engineers. Your primary focus will be on implementing, managing, and continuously improving applications both on-premises and in the Cloud. By minimising repetitive tasks, reducing administrative overhead, and enhancing performance and security, you'll play a pivotal role in advancing our technological landscape.Main Accountabilities: Implement, manage, and enhance applications, databases, and integration technologies. Lead and develop direct reports, fostering a culture of growth and excellence. Collaborate with key partners to optimise technologies and drive continuous improvement. Ensure adherence to best practices, including ITIL processes and cybersecurity principles. Advocate for secure computing practices and facilitate knowledge-sharing across the organisation. Support digital projects and initiatives, driving efficiency through advanced analytics and automation. Act as a liaison between users, internal technology groups, and vendors. Design and promote disaster recovery techniques, ensuring resilience and reliability. Knowledge, Experience, and Skills: Excellent experience managing IT applications and databases, with a strong understanding of support processes and technologies. Proven track record in defining and managing service level agreements and KPIs. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Expertise in ITIL processes and concepts, with a focus on incident, problem, and change management. Passion for team development and a proactive approach to workload management. Technical proficiency in a range of business applications and IT workplace technologies. Technical Skills/Awareness: Business applications, with a focus on property management (an advantage). Microsoft SQL Server, PowerBI, SharePoint, and Azure. Familiarity with application and web servers, Microsoft Windows, and Office. Experience in disaster recovery planning and testing.
