FEP+, WaterMap, Glide, Maestro, and LiveDesign are just a few examples of the applications weve created.As a member of our UK Applications Science team, youll train and guide customers in their use of our groundbreaking molecular modelling suites, provide strategic scientific support, and address challenging problems in drug discovery.Who will love this job:A computer-aided molecular design enthusiast (both in theory and application) - specifically, someone with solid experience in structure-based drug design and computational modelling workflowsAn excellent communicator and presenter with superb organisational skillsA dedicated scientist whos willing to learn and deliver resultsA creative collaborator who enjoys helping others solve problemsA self-motivated team player who takes ownership of projects and manages their own time wellWhat youll do:Provide scientific support to current and prospective customers, which includes demonstration of optimal use of our life science software suites, facilitation of interactions between customers and product development teams, and general scientific guidanceTroubleshoot customers scientific workflows, administration, and adaptation of their modelling environmentEngage in cutting-edge methodological scientific research and advise our customers on best practices for computational modellingPublish scientific papers and present at conferencesWhat you should have:PhD in computational chemistry, bioinformatics, or a related fieldA solid understanding of the commercial drug discovery process and of medicinal chemistryDemonstrable Python programming experienceExperience with cheminformatics, chemical data structures, databases, and administration of software or applicationsExcellent English language skills (both verbal and written)Willingness to travel but be located primarily in the UKOne of the following is a plus:Postdoctoral research and/or relevant experience in the commercial sectorExpertise in ligand-based drug design, machine learningExpertise in structure-based drug design, molecular dynamics, free energy calculationsFrench and/or Spanish language skillsPlease use the below link for job application and quicker response.
