Job title:Application Support and Software Development Location:Samlesbury – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary:£54,793-£60,326 (dependent on skills and experience) What you’ll be doing:
Build specification and configuration of key Maintenance and Support Systems The facilitation of end-to-end process design across the applications and the development of business process designs The ability to problem solve and propose pragmatic solutions to issues related to poor business processes or incorrect application design/configuration Instructions to enable the deployment or upgrade of application changes and process upgrades, as well as providing business integration to support the implementation of those changes into production and non-production environments Developing the integration software linking our main Support applications
Your skills and experiences: Essential:
Demonstratable SQL and Oracle developer knowledge and experience is essential A proven understanding of integration services and technologies An understanding of complex data models and ability to generate import/export scripts An awareness of ITIL Foundations would be desirable
Desirable:
A good grasp of other programming languages Exposure to having developed applications

The Maintenance and Support Systems team: The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping to manage the business teams with the introduction of new capability. You will be expected to act as the business integrator and provide advice and governance on process compliance to the COTS deployments, as well as facilitate in the development of design specifications to enable supplier understanding of the business needs and the conversion of the business needs in to working solution You will have the opportunity to solve, write and develop code and be part of exciting challenges and projects to further expand capability that strengthens the business’s portfolio Why BAE Systems?
