DescriptionReports to: Store ManagementObjective:To achieve the Anthropologie mission of creating an ‘unimagined store experience’ by developing a store culture that fosters creativity, and inspires both the store team and the customer. To support managers with store service initiatives and operating procedures through motivation and training of the sales team. People:Participate in the training and development of all new and existing associates to meet the Company’s service expectationBuild and maintain strong relationships with peers; working collaboratively toward common goalsParticipate in staff recruitment and hiringUphold Company standards and act as a mentor, teacher and positive role model to othersLeadership and Communication:Lead by example and inspire a shared vision by communicating store and Company goalsPossess strong communication skills in both written and verbal formUtilise sales reports to track, analyse and communicate key performance resultsWork alongside the Department Manager to maximise sales and achieve store and Company goalsChallenge and motivate the sales team to achieve these goals and deliver an unimagined level of serviceParticipate in regular touch-bases with the Management Team to foster a shared store visionManaging the Environment:Manage the shop floor to achieve a high level of service and ensure a positive and upbeat store environment for customers and staff alikeExhibit excellent floor presence by leading by example and training and coaching the sales associates on service standards and operating systemsBe a brand ambassador: provide a high level of service and aesthetic representationDrive Anthro Programme sign ups by ensuring all staff are knowledgeable and are passionately offering the benefits to customersOperations:Participate in weekly recaps and touch-bases with the Management team to discuss, analyse, and plan department initiativesPerform all store-level operational procedures accurately and in a timely fashion, in accordance with all Company policies and proceduresAssist with the timely completion of markdowns, transfers of stock, and Pick Pack and Ship ordersAchieve the store stock loss goals via strong loss prevention systems and trainings, assist with annual stock-takePossess strong organisational skills and have the ability to execute projects by priority with a commercial and customer centric mindsetAssist in upholding company Health & Safety procedures at all times to protect employees and customers against accidents and incidentsMerchandising and Commercial Awareness:Participate in merchant days with the visual team to develop merchandising skills, standards and commercial awarenessUtilise knowledge of customer shopping trends, stock ownership and store business drivers to affectively drive department focusesExperience Requirements:Experience in a leadership or supervisor role, working in a fast-paced and customer focussed retail environmentAbility to work with initiative and consistency under tight time constraintsAbility to positively impact results in salesProven record of training individuals or a team of talented peopleAn appreciation and understanding of the Anthropologie culture and its appeal in the market
