The successful candidate will lead the animation team in producing a 10-minute narrative projection mapping show, featuring stylised 3D animated characters, animals, landscapes, stylised AI-generated graphic elements, impactful motion graphics, and in-camera augmented reality animation. The role also involves developing a library of looped decorative animations for a 2-hour concert broadcast, ensuring a seamless show experience in collaboration with the lighting show.This is us:Immersive International is a creative master planning, design, and innovation studio. The ideal candidate will have a creative vision, strong leadership, and project management skills. Familiarity with various animation techniques and the ability to work closely with our in-house team and partner studios in London is essential.Key Responsibilities: Animation Direction: Lead and guide the animation team. Motion Graphics: Utilise motion graphics expertise to elevate visual storytelling. Projection Mapping: Collaborate in planning the projection mapping layout. AI Integration: Work with AI artists and animators to create dynamic show elements. Live Broadcast: Contribute to live broadcast content creation. Augmented Reality: Implement in-camera augmented reality animations. Collaborative Ideation: Participate in concept and visual development. Project Planning: Manage project plans, schedules, and budgets. Supervision (Production): Ensure quality and creativity during production. Supervision (Onsite): Oversee 2 weeks of onsite rehearsals and show broadcasts abroad. Key Qualities: Proven experience as an Animation and/or Creative Director. Expertise in large-scale animation and projection mapping shows. Understanding of content creation for holograms and VJ looped animations. Familiarity with 2D, 2.5D, 3D, and AI animation techniques. Strong leadership and project management skills. Creative vision and effective collaboration abilities. London-based with the ability to work closely with in-house teams and partner studios.
