Analytical Team Leader (Raw Materials)Hours: 37.5 hours per week worked over a flexible work patternSalary: Competitive and dependent on experience and suitabilityRef No: HRJOB8642Business Unit: Pharma ServicesLocation: Loughborough, LeicestershireOpen To: Internal and external candidatesAbout The RoleThe post holder will provide technical leadership, management and coaching for the raw material analytical team and enable the delivery of a high class raw materials testing service supporting complex pharmaceutical projects.They will manage the progress of analytical work to cGMP requirements, ensure that project schedules are met and that the work is carried out efficiently and accurately, providing regular updates to their Head of Department.About YouTo be successful in this role, we are looking for you to have: Significant experience of leading analytical activities for pharmaceutical raw materials in a cGMP environment supporting all phases of the pharmaceutical drug product lifecycle Significant experience of supervising cGMP laboratory activities and staff. Significant experience of hands on and theory of:
Pharmacopeial raw material testing Analytical instrumentation used for pharmacopeial testing including method development and validation of analytical tests eg GC, KF, UV-Vis, FT-IR. The use of a Chromatography Data System such as Empower in a regulated laboratory. Significant experience leading QMS driven aspects of a cGMP laboratory, Laboratory error investigation, OOS investigation, Deviation investigation and CAPA. Experience scheduling and planning workloads, resource and equipment including developing systems to support these activities. Proven ability to successfully lead business improvement projects. Experience of customer interactions both internal and external and a proven ability to meet changing and demanding customer
following criteria would also be beneficial to your application, but is not essential: MSc/PhD (or equivalent) in a Chemistry or Life Science with a significant chemistry component. Previous experience of implementing major laboratory change projects e.g. implementing LIMS software. Significant experience of client interactions within a CMO. Experience of using statistical data analysis techniques and designing statistically relevant experiments. An understanding of microbiological testing applied to a pharmaceutical operation. Significant experience in the use of Empower 3.
