Summary: The general nature and level of this job requires knowledge, skills and abilities to perform complex, technical and/or administrative assignments with several variables and alternatives.
The Fleet Department manages approximately 8,000 light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks as well as trailers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the DOT/IFTA/IRP program to ensure regulatory compliance.
Manage Fleet Management email inbox, responding to requests in a timely manner.
Prepare various types of analytics on fleet data.
Research and resolve various issues associated with vehicle title and registration.
Maintain driver assignments and hierarchy data in the fleet management database.
Gather data related to fleet utilization, complete required reports and document and compare results with established standards.
Provide ongoing valuation of TBD and spare vehicles for possible reassignments or disposals.
Assist with the training of area/field personnel in administrative procedures and methods, which include use of computer software programs/applications.
Prepare and/or assist in research and preparation of requests for information, special projects and reports requested by Operations and Engineering, other departments and third parties.
Work with confidential information, such as personnel changes and personal employee data.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
Bachelor's degree or additional equivalent work experience
Analytical experience, preferably in the gas transmission industry, in any of the following areas: DOT standards & industry practices a plus
Software knowledge requirements: Outlook, Excel, and SAP a plus. Possess the ability to learn new software products.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with all levels of the organization
Ability to deal with stressful situations and work in a professional manner regardless of the situation.
Excellent organizational skills, follow through skills and the ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.
Self-motivated with the ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision
Good time management with the ability to deal with a high volume of data.
Ability to perform a variety of duties requiring use of independent judgment and technical knowledge.
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Usually, normal office working conditions.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
