AWE is currently recruiting for Analogue Electronics EngineersWorking as part of a small team of experienced engineers, this role offers candidates the opportunity to apply their domain knowledge and experience to gain the requisite depth of knowledge of warhead electrical systems so they can apply sound engineering principles to analyse these systems and develop their career with us.Location: ReadingSalary: £35,720 - £60,000 (dependent on experience)Closing Date: 08th May 2024The Role? Applicants should have experience in the designing, testing, and fault-finding of electronic hardware, with the ability to analyse and assess existing designs. Knowledge of the application of electronics to defence systems would be an advantage but not essential.Whilst not to be considered a checklist, we would welcome applications from candidates who have the following knowledge, skills and experience:Analogue circuit designDigital support circuit design Electronic circuit fault findingCircuit simulation and modellingSwitch mode power supply design (SMPS)High voltage circuit design considerations Electromagnetics design. Specifically, small form factor transformersGeneration of requirements and specificationsData analysisThese roles will require someone who has:The ability to make sound engineering judgments with limited dataThe ability to undertake/manage trials and tests to verify component behaviourThe ability to manage/lead technical projects and component developmentGood written and oral communication skillsThe ability to write clear and concise reportsThe ability to work both independently and as part of a teamDelivery of formal presentations to peers, management, and customersWe would like candidates to have a degree qualification (or equivalent e.g. HND plus vocational training) in electrical/electronic engineering or applied physics, followed by relevant experience.What will you get from us?
