This means that combining both is the key to success.What we are looking forWe are seeking to strengthen the Regulatory Operations team by hiring a talented and passionate individual as an AML Analyst. Joining a well-established, but continually evolving business, in a regulated industry with a strong compliance, process and risk mitigation emphasis, this position is part of our wider Operations team and you will be supported by your line manager and peers across other operational teams.What you’ll doConducting robust due diligence on clients, working closely with the Business Development team and directly with clients, as required, to obtain all necessary supporting evidence to fulfil due diligence requirements.Carrying out screening on clients, cardholders and third-party payments against global watchlists, sanction lists, and databases of politically exposed persons (PEPs).Undertaking regular and effective monitoring of transactions to identify and report suspicious activities to regulatory bodies.Identifying any suspicious activity, conducting an investigation and, if necessary, supporting the preparation of a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR).Use strong
investigative/analytical
skills to formulate and clearly articulate detailed rationales behind the decisioning of alerts within cases.Ensuring all activities are conducted within strict SLAs and alerting management where breaches may occur.Managing personal workload and priority items and ensuring timely escalation of key risks/issues to management.Liaising regularly with the Team Leader to conduct workload planning.Participating in internal and external training programs related to AML/ CFT and other subjects that may form part of the day-to-day work requirements.Any general administration and ancillary activities as may be required and related to the function of the team.What you’ll haveA clear understanding of UK regulations relating to AML/CTF.Experience in onboarding, screening and/or transaction monitoring within the FS sector.Be motivated and enthusiastic with a high level of integrity.A team player that willing to share knowledge in a team environment.Have strong analytical ability.Be able to communicate risks identified in a simplified and concise manner.Be able to carry out tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.Be able to work in an evolving and changeable environment.Be skilled in Microsoft Excel.Our ideal candidate will hold an AML qualification.This role will require you to undergo home office clearance.What we offer (Country and contract type dependent)25 days annual leave plus 2 days for volunteering, plus your birthday off - Plus an additional Take5 days should you use all of your 25 days!Global business landscape that connects you with colleagues working throughout Australia, UK, North America and EuropeParticipation in the company bonus schemeHybrid working - Be empowered to work smarter, in a way that suits your lifestyle12 weeks paid parental leavePaid professional membershipsCompany Health SchemeThe team you’ll be joiningEML Payments is a global leader in the fintech space.
