Role: Press Brake Operator
Location: Birmingham

Owen Daniels Consultancy has engaged with a key client and an established Manufacturing company providing a wide range of services to the food industry, and high-profile clients. Due to team & project growth an opportunity has arisen for a Press Brake Operator to join on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and configure the Amada brake press machine according to job specifications and technical drawings.
Adjust machine settings including speed, angle, and pressure.
Handle raw materials safely and efficiently, ensuring correct positioning for precise bends and shapes.
Operate the brake press machine with confidence to bend, shape, or cut raw materials as per blueprints and instructions.
Monitor the machine during operation to identify and address any issues or deviations from the planned process.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, making necessary adjustments to correct any defects or discrepancies.
Perform routine maintenance on the brake press machine, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts, and report any mechanical issues or malfunctions.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience operating brake press machines, preferably Amada, is essential.
Proficiency in reading drawings and blueprints, understanding geometric dimensions and tolerances, and knowledge of machine setup, tooling, and programming.
Experience and expertise in handling raw materials.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct quality issues during the manufacturing process.
Ability to program, create, and recognize tools based on experience.
Confidence to work independently, using initiative and knowledge.
Commitment to following health and safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
Amada brake press training is advantageous.
