Owen Daniels Consultancy�has engaged with a key client and an established�Manufacturing company providing a wide range of services to the food industry, and high-profile clients. Due to team & project growth an opportunity has arisen for a Press Brake Operator to join on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and configure the Amada brake press machine according to job specifications and technical drawings.
• Adjust machine settings including speed, angle, and pressure.
• Handle raw materials safely and efficiently, ensuring correct positioning for precise bends and shapes.
• Operate the brake press machine with confidence to bend, shape, or cut raw materials as per blueprints and instructions.
• Monitor the machine during operation to identify and address any issues or deviations from the planned process.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, making necessary adjustments to correct any defects or discrepancies.
• Perform routine maintenance on the brake press machine, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts, and report any mechanical issues or malfunctions.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating brake press machines, preferably Amada, is essential.
• Proficiency in reading drawings and blueprints, understanding geometric dimensions and tolerances, and knowledge of machine setup, tooling, and programming.
• Experience and expertise in handling raw materials.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct quality issues during the manufacturing process.
• Ability to program, create, and recognize tools based on experience.
• Confidence to work independently, using initiative and knowledge.
• Commitment to following health and safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
• Amada brake press training is advantageous.
