We are looking for an Alternative Provision Teacher to work in our Secondary Alternative Provision School which supports children with social, emotional and mental health challenges and behaviour difficulties. Simply Education is seeking an Alternative Provision Teacher with a keen interest in working within a specialist provision! You will be teaching a small group of students of around 8 to 15 students in a classroom. You will be teaching a range of subjects or subject specific depending on your preference from the curriculum that will need adapting to the students needs and understanding.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, understanding and reliable to join the school! This environment is fast paced and needs someone who is resilient. Our alternative provision secondary school is looking for a patient Alternative Provision Teacher to join their team.

Alternative Provision Teacher responsibilities include:
Planning and teaching engaging lessons catered to students' academic levels and learning needs
Employing specialized techniques to deliver math curriculum to students with SEMH/behavioural issues
Incorporating emotional regulation, relationship-building and conflict resolution into lesson plans
Collaborating with counsellors and parents to implement customized behaviour plans
Promoting student expression through learning in positive ways
Fostering a safe, supportive classroom environment amidst challenges
Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies

Salary : �(Apply online only) a day
Contract : Daily Cover / Long Term Roles Available
Hours : 8:30 till 4:30 - Monday to Friday

The ideal candidate has:
Teaching qualification or equivalent
Experience teaching math to students with learning disabilities, ADHD, trauma, etc
Familiarity with emotional/behavioural disorders and de-escalation techniques
Strong classroom management skills
Exceptional patience and ability to connect with difficult students

The successful candidate will be required to:
Subject to two years of satisfactory references
