Are you passionate and nurturing, committed to working with children who can demonstrate challenging behaviour?

Do you have experience working in a Pupil Referral Unit environment, or with children with EBD, SEMH, or behavioural needs?

Are you able to inspire and motivate pupils with learning difficulties, or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) difficulties?

What is the job?:

• Working in an Alternative Provision, which is a setting for secondary aged (KS3 and KS4) children who have been excluded from mainstream education, aiming to re-engage with their referring setting
• Supporting pupils to learn, regulate their emotions, and manage their behaviours effectively
• Offering children pastoral and social, emotional support; enabling them to flourish in the school environment!

What we need from you:

• Able to adapt to a range of situations and circumstances- you may be asked to work in different classes across the school
• Dedication and resilience when supporting some very challenging pupils
• Confident managing pupil behaviour
• Creative and enthusiastic personality- encouraging independence in the pupils
