We are currently recruiting for an Allocator!
Purpose of Position:
To support the Assistant Merchandiser in the management of store stock to ensure stock levels are optimised in line with business requirements to deliver sales and profit targets through effective management and implementation of the processes.
This role gives the individual the opportunity to support in building a new function within Space NK and demonstrate immediate impact within this financial year with their actions.
Areas of Responsibility:
Availability:
Understand and support the team to optimise store availability and minimise markdown through commercial understanding and inventory management. Understand the AGR demand planning system and how to deliver accurate demand forecasts to optimise daily replenishment and achieve availability targets for all store grades. Understand the tools required to maximise sales/availability for seasonal events, promotional activity, and exceptional trading periods through executing stock builds in system. Understand and support the execution of Store availability forecasting for future months - Identifying risks and opportunities and liaising with the Category teams and Supply Chain AM to deliver the actions. Channel Management:
Support in NAV allocation management to develop an understanding of the available parameters and how changes will create impact within stores. Develop strong links with Regional & Store managers through regular and effective communication and identifying opportunities to drive sales. Support with communication and implementation to retail teams about stock management such as Recalls/Price changes. Attending marketing meetings to ensure that stock is available to support launches, events, emails etc. Attend weekly store calls and support in executing actions, supporting the Assistant Merchandiser and deputising when required. Under the guidance of the Assistant Merchandiser support new store management; support in building the floorplan and micro sheets for range building, the stock builds with category teams, identifying risks and mitigating actions plans on a weekly basis to achieve business launch targets. Undertake monthly store visits to assess opportunities and risks. Shelf Planning / Grading:
Gain an understanding of shelf productivity analysis and brand performance reviews and how it informs monthly micro shelf planning changes. Support the process when appropriate. Support the Assistant Merchandiser on the consolidation and drive of the monthly range adjustments and recalls from Stores based on the micro shelf changes. Gain an understanding of the new store management process including building the floorplan and micro sheets for range building. Support the stock builds with category teams, identifying risks and mitigating actions plans on a weekly basis to achieve business launch targets. Trade Reporting:
Prepare data for Monday trade analysis and understand how the data is used and interpreted. Support requests for Ad Hoc stock and replenishment queries, preparing data and understanding the objective of requests. Be able to deputise for the Assistant Merchandiser on Trading activities when appropriate. Training & Development:
Develop excellent working knowledge of all Merchandising systems. Qlikview, QlikSense, Navision, AGR. Develop a good understanding of basic retail maths. Develop and build strong relationships and networks with cross functional partners both internally and externally. Support in the training and development of new starters. Responsible for driving their own development and actively seeking out training as required. Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:
Level - No merchandising experience required but some retail knowledge is preferred. Excel skills and basic knowledge of other Microsoft Office tools. The role requires a good level of mathematical competency.
